This year Mary Anne is trying something different as she works with sales professionals and business owners to set their goals for 2015.  While the goals are very important, it is knowing the “why” behind your goals that is the real ticket to your success.  By all means do your goal setting this year AND make sure your goals are compelling and inspire you to move toward that which is most important and meaningful to you.  For sales people, it rarely is making more money; it’s typically what that money will do to increase their quality of life, provide for their families, or help then realize a dream or goal that has never been accomplished.  For business owners, it’s not always about creating more success; it’s typically about increasing their freedom from the business, spending more quality time with their loved ones or growing the business so that employees can achieve their personal goals and dreams.

What is the “why” behind your goals for 2015?  Below are some questions to guide you in discovering your “why.”  If you need help, you know where to find us!

  • What key questions do you want answered in your life?
  • What, if anything, feels incomplete (or missing) from living a fulfilled life?
  • What would you like to move away from/or release in your life?
  • What do you want to move towards?
  • If you had three wishes what would they be?
  • If you had three wishes for others in your life what would they be?
  • Knowing this will change over time but right now “What legacy do you want to leave behind?”
  • Where, and, in what ways, can you contribute the most?
  • At the end of the day, what matters most to you? How will your goals for this upcoming year reflect what matters most to you?
